I know that it is possible to lock a selection inside a segment but, if I am not in error, this is possible just in target segments and I have created a new shortcut (CTRL+ALT+L, against CTRL+L which locks the whole segment):

My question is:

“Is there any way to lock a selection inside the source segment before starting the translation?”

I have tried to edit the source segment (ALT+F2), but it does not allow me to lock a selection as I have done in the target segment.

In the example here above, I have created a fake HTML project connected to a fake EN(GB)-IT(IT) TM, and here below there is the whole project *.zip file (I have the Freelance Plus version which does not allow me to create a “real” SDL Project Package).
