I just ran a quick test... from German to French since English to French would clearly not work since the source needs to be a format that sees the thousand separator as a dot.  This works just fine for me:

The 99% match is because I missed a question mark off the source, but the number has autolocalized correctly, and all the rest auto-propagated based on the first three segments.  Perhaps you can provide more information that will help us use the right examples to find your problem?  It would also be helpful if you told us what version of Studio you are using?

Thank you for your answer, Paul. My version is 2017 SR1. I am trying to do this from Dutch into French. Is there a way for me to force Trados to see the thousand separator as a dot for this language and to change the number format?

I just tried this in 2017 and it works fine with the default settings:

Please try this:

1. create a new project with a brand new, default, empty TM
2. every time you come across a number press Ctrl+comma and see how it's represented
3. check the auto-propagation and see whether the numbers are handled correctly

This will help you identify where the problem might be coming from as this should work without  problem.  So let's confirm this first.  If you can share a screenshot of your results, good or bad, it will also be helpful.  And if you can provide us with the same course text you are working with it'll be even better.  Presumably you can make up a file so it's non confidential but does reflect the problems you are having?
