Help! Suddenly all my translation memories cannot be accessed.

Hello,

My name is Kaori. I was working on this project and suddenly, I got unable to access to the TM for the project I was working on. Then when I tried to open other TMs, How can I fix this problem?

The error message: The translation provider 'xxx' could not be opened and has been disabled.

  • Sorry, when I restart the pc, all my TMs have come back except for the one I am working on. When I double-click on that TM, the following error message appears:

    Error processing command line arguments: The translation memory data file is corrupt.

    USAGE: SDLTradosStudio.exe [/help|/?] /arg1 val1 /arg2 val2

    Task: NoAutoUpdate
    Description: Starts the application without automatically checking for updates.

    Is there anyway I can retrieve the data or fix the file?

    As it appears that now only one TM's is affected, it's possible that the TM has become corrupted.

    As you are using an older Studio version you can download SDLTM Repair, this may help you fix the TM

    This is also a useful tool for backing up your TM's on a regular basis- for the eventuality that something goes wrong.

    I am using 2019 and I ran the TM repair but it did not work...

    But it was a nice tip that I should create a back-up TM.
