In Studio 2021, how can I to resize the translation pane (Edit) within the Studio window, so the other panes (TMs, glossaries, comments, etcetera) fit next to it, in stead of below/above?
There seem to be no handles on the translation pane that contains the grid with source and target segments.
And, secondly, is there a way to store this new layout as an 'Alternate Layout' (as the button on the ribbon suggests)?

You can't. But you can move all the other windows you mention. So think about it a different ay and move the others around and resize to get what you want.

Yes... it's called your profile. File -> Setup -> Manage User Profiles and save the ones you want. It's not as easy as just having a save layout feature (which I wish we had) but you can use it this way.

You can detach ALL panes from the Studio window, only the Editor pane will be left there. When you detach all other panes, you can place them wherever you want. See screenshot.
