My Win10 machine crashed yesterday, so went to backup laptop running Win7 with Studio 2019. Each time I tried to open it, it would crash. Tried the repair function, uninstalling, reinstalling. No change. Then tried to download recently purchased 2021, which was an odyssey in itself. Finally managed to download through MS Edge, but then installation got stuck on the .net stuff. Turned off virus, installed successfully. But when I tried to open the application, same thing: crashing. "SDL Trados Studio has stopped working". Have tried to add the reg key regarding TLS 1.2. No difference. Can't figure out if it's a Win7-discontinued support issue, or what. Seems a shame that I cannot work on my backup machine. I have resorted to working on the Trados Live Online Editor, which is better than nothing I guess. Good think I could access that.
