I am trying to open a Word file via 2011 Studio and when I "open file" I get an error message: "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process." That's not very helpful, as it doesn't explain what this process is involved or how to fix this. When I did the last project, I of course closed out everything and exited.
Close Studio. Use task manager to kill any background Word processes and try again.
The file in question is being kept locked by a Word instance, running in the background.

I have had this problem for over a year now. It seems to be totally random - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have tried ALL the suggestions I can find on this subject. I even posted my own cry for help, but the problem just keeps coming up, and nobody has been able to provide a solution so far.
