how do I save a virtually merged files as a single target file ?

Hello! 
 Is it possible to save a virtually merged files ( docs.sdl.com/.../merging-files-virtually) as a single target file? When I try to "save target as" while a group of files opened as a multiple file I get several files. I'm saving a ODT file, and all the files are simply text files (no pictures, tables, etc). 
 I use SDL Trados Studio 2021 @ Windows 10. 
 I will appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

 Neither files merged at project creation nor files merged virtually can be saved as a single target file. For most file formats that would not be possible anyways if you think of InDesign, Excel or Photoshop files.
