Hello everyone!
From time to time a file that I'm translating disappears from the project. I must then reimport and pretranslate the file. It's not a big thing to do, but I was wondering if there was a way to prevent it.
Thanks!

Hello Camille Bertrand-Sittler ,
Its very unusual for a file to simply disappear. so if you can provide more information, then this may help understand what might be happening in this case.
Is this the same file in the same project? Or is this happening on all projects?
Where do you have your projects/files stored? Locally or perhaps in the cloud?
The more information you can provide, the more this might help.

Hello ,
No, it's not the same file that disappears each time. It's generally in the same project but not always (each translator of the team have a single project for the year in which we had the file to translate). We store all our projects and files on a server, but not in the cloud.
It happens randomly, so I don't know what other information I can add. But if you need more, let me know.
Do you think that more than one person are working in the same project at the same time?
For example, a translator adds a file to the same project a second translator is translating.
Under these conditions, the project can get corrupted, I've been witness to this process. If so, I'm afraid SDL can't do anything about it…
We experienced the same error here as well. After some investigation, we found out that only the first person who opens the project should add files to it. When a second translator then opens the same project afterwards, he or she will see the newly added files.
However, if the second translator opens the same project and adds files, these will be invisible to other users although they are in the folders. Updating the view usually does not help.

Hi Jesús Prieto and Annette Manfred Altmann
Each project is assigned to a translator who adds himself or herself the files. However, a second translator can open the project to review a file. A file generally disappears when a second translator wants to review it, but it's also happen for the same translator who wants to continue a translation the next day.
How can we review a file in another translator's project without corrupting the project?
Thanks to both of you!
I think the process is the same: 2 people editing the project file at the same time.
The recommended way would be to create a package for review (only available for the Professional version) and send the package to the reviewer (this can be any version of Trados Studio).
