I have tried a couple of times to add new files to an existing project, both with Trados Studio 2021 SR1 16.1.2.4090 and its predecessor. The "Add Files" icon is not active, irresective of the language. This has meant that I have translated all the files individually. Not a major problem, but a useful feature that I would like to use.

Are you perhaps using the Translate as Single Document option?
When you create a project, you should be able to add new files.
If this isnt working for you, perhaps you could share a few screen shots so we can see what is happening.

Yes, I was using the Translate as Single Document option. I received a translation (twice), completed it and then was asked to add something to the existing translation. It seems that I will have to create every translation as a Project to avoid this in future.
