Create AutoSuggest Dicti. Inactive

Question

I've been trying to find a way to get around this, and it seems that it might have to do with my license. 
 The problem is I have a Freelance license but the system does not see it. Any tips? Thanks

Hi Ioanna, 
 This is indeed a license restriction. Freelance alone is not enough. You need the AutoSuggest Creator license to create an AutoSuggest Dictionary. This comes with Professional but not with Freelance. So if you didn't have this added to your package when you bought your license then perhaps contact the customer service guys who can surely help you out : http://bit.ly/SDLChat

Well, you have come to this site which uses the shortcut http://xl8.one and the similar shortcut we use for logging a support request if you don't have a support contract, or need help with licensing or installation is http://support.xl8.one/ Both of these links just save really long urls. 
 
I took a quick look at your account and can see you had a Studio 2009 license for autosuggest (that seems to be the one you referred to) but then there doesn't seem to be a license for autosuggest after that. I don't doubt you so I think the best solution is to log a case with the licensing team and they'll be able to help you out. 
 
So use http://support.xl8.one/ to log the case quickly and easily. 
 
You might also like to check this blog which explains how Studio 2015 benefits from a capability which may negate the need for autosuggest dictionaries altogether. They are still good, but you might find you get good use without them:
