Hi, I'm going to try this again. Last message was just a moan about the fragility of 2019. Here's something more specific.
It crashes on all files, small, large, no specific source of corrupted source files. The source files are fine. The crash is always in Editor.
But I do have large resources defined for translating:
5 termbases, 4 of which come from IATE, 1 is mine. They are massive.
1 general TM for reference for every project and with updating to it when finalising. This is enormous, too, 1.2 GB.
The crashes usually happen when I move to a new segment or when I try some keystroke like (go to the last segment, save, add to dictionary for a word, add term) anything while the programme is busy looking things up in the Termbases and the TM.
My suspicion: There are not enough processing resources available to Studio to handle all these tasks at once.
Question: Is this possible? And how to fix it.
My complaint: This is a very expensive and specialised programme, it should be able to handle efficiently all the tools it is able to accommodate (like big termbases and TMs).
