Canva file converted to PowerPoint - target file corrupted

Question

Hi! We encountered problems with PowerPoint files converted by Canva. Even if source file seems to be alright, target files always is corrupted (even if we try with conversions from pptx to ppt and re-translation). By the way is Canva and Canvas the same software?

 Is there some sort of plugin used for this that puts something in the file we may not be aware of? 
 Canva and Canvas... can only google as I'm not familiar with either, although I'm aware of Canva: 
 https://www.instructure.com/canvas 
 https://www.canva.com/ 
 On this basis they are clearly not the same software;-)
