Like Paul, I'm not sure about the batch task (unless it's a custom task sequence), but this issue usually happens when you have merged segments across paragraphs and one of the segments, usually the second one, contains a tag. This means that after merging, the tag was, in effect, moved across paragraphs. The solution is either to avoid merging those segments, or to delete the tag, which may require you to insert whatever element it represents back in Word.

I think I have that feature after upgrading to SDL 2021, but I'm not exactly sure which app it comes from. 
I couldn't find a way to export so I think I copied the translation back to my original file...but I'll pay extra attention next time if the document contains a tag next time.
