Hi,
My company recently upgraded Trados Studio from 2019 to 2021, and all my software data were automatically deleted in the process. I re-created my profile, but I had A LOT of AutoCorrect entries, so I would really like to restore them to what they were before the upgrade.
I had no backup of it, but I just found that there is an automatic backup file in C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0\AutoCorrectDictionaries
Unfortunately, I cannot import that file directly into Trados Studio 2021. When I try, I get that message: “Failed to read settings from import file. Check if the file is a valid AutoCorrect setting file.”
Is there a way to convert the Studio 2019 “.autoCORRECT” file in the above folder so that I can import it in Studio 2021?
P.S. I also have the following Trados Studio folders, but I found no file in them regarding my 2019 AutoCorrect entries:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0
C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15
C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio15
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2019
On the other hand, under C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\ProjectApi\15.1.0.0\, there is a file named “Sdl.ProjectApi.xml” having the same date as my upgrade (plus or minus a few minutes), but I don't know if it could be useful or not to achieve my present purpose.
