It seems impossible to add/remove a TM mid-project in Trados Studio 2021. I go through the usual motions but when I re-check the settings, the TM in question has not been added/removed as requested. Is there a new workaround compared to older versions?
Could you please make your post more specific? What are "usual motions"? A screenshot would say more than 1000 words.

By usual motions, I mean that for example, when adding a TM to a project I have already set up, I go to settings, translation memory - create / use. The created/used memory appears in the list and it looks as if I'm set to go. I go back to my translation but when I re-open settings the created/used memory is no longer in the TM list. The same applies to TMs I try to remove. They continue to appear even though I have removed them (and yes, I do make sure they are checked when I delete!).

This is indeed strange. I'm afraid an answer without looking at your PC by remote support will not be possible. From what you describe it should work. For unknown reasons Studio does not store the desired information in your project settings. Are your projects stored locally or in the cloud? If you have these in Dropbox & co., please try to create a project locally (not stored in the cloud) and check with it, if it works. Otherwise there could be something wrong with the user permissions in Windows. Are you using a Mac?

I do not use Mac.
I always store projects locally but my TMs are on Dropbox. It would be really annoying to have to copy my TMs locally every time. Always worked seamlessly on the 2019 version.
