Is it possible having a automatic backup of a track changes copy?

Hi,

This might be a silly question. I often do proofreading for customers who do not want track changes in the delivered document, but I would like to safe them if something comes up. I can copy the sdlxliff file, but this is rather cumbersome at length so I would rather have an automatic backup of the track changes.

Best regards,

Knut

  • Use the command "Save copy as" from "Adavnced save". This way your current document will remain opened, but a copy will be stored in a desired folder. This is what we do for years now. When I open the document from revision, I save copy as in a separate folder (called "Revision") and start checking the changes. After the revision process is closed I have the revised document with changes and the revised final document with accepted (or rejected) changes. Even though it is not an automated process, it works like a charm. A very simple step just to remember—and the you have what you need.
