Hi everybody,

I have a new client with a completely new subject area. I created a project with three files and a new TM for that topic.

I translated the first file and confirmed the sections with CTRL+return > pencil with green tick. I then checked the TM only to find it only contained 66 source/target sections whereas there were 130 odd translated and confirmed sections in the editor. The TM info said that there were 130 odd entries. Found this a bit disconcerting, but needed to get on with my work.

When I wanted to translate the second file, it didn't give me any translation results for any of the segments (only the source text in the window at the top), not even the ones I saw in the TM. It then, however, filled the target segments with the translation from the previous file - at which moment and when, I don't know, I think I just went through the target segments and they popped up, 100% matches, fuzzy ones and CMs.

I never get any translation results for any of the segments in the window at the top. I have checked that the editor details have "update" ticked, that the right TM is linked to the project/file, that the update box is ticked, that it's the correct languages ... I have removed and re-attached the TM to the project/file.

Any new segments translated/confirmed from the second file aren't updated either, btw.

I'm at a loss. A beginner's mistake somewhere? Studio 15 lay dormant for a few years until this new client arrived whose translations are just screaming for CAT.

Thank you to anybody pointing me in the right direction. I've had a look in the forum, there were similar issues, but couldn't find the solution as it was probably solved through some direct help .... Skype/anyDesk, etc.
