If I do a concordance search, it shows the correct version, so my update seems to have been sent to the TM. The problem is the caching of the "Translation Results" window.

Closing and reopening the file also worked, but obviously it's not practical to do this every time I edit a segment.

Sorry, should have mentioned that. Yes, 2017. I'm guessing from your answer that this is an issue that has been fixed in later versions?

For now, my solution is that when I get to a fuzzy match I close the document and reopen. Not ideal though. Unfortunately I'm stuck with the version my organization uses.

Yes, this was a known issue in 2017.  The best I can suggest is that you make sure you are fully updated (may still not help... but worth checking):

SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1 - 14.1.10018.54792
SDL MultiTerm 2017 SR1 - 14.2.8.55461

OK. We're currently on 14.1.10014.38031. I don't have admin rights to update. Do you know when the version I've got was released? Just so I know whether it's been upgraded recently.

Yours was released here in 2018:

The latest on 2nd December 2019.
