Complete segment matches not showing up in translation results or when I pre-translate

I'm using SDL Trados Studio 2015 WR3 - 12.3.5281.10. I'm working on a document that requires me to use quite a few TMs (I have 21 enabled at the moment). When I pre-translated my file, I didn't get as many hits as I thought I would. Now I'm noticing that sometimes full segments, which appear word for word in one of the TMs, aren't showing as being a match. The pre-translate process didn't fill anything in, and nothing gets filled in when I click on the segment in the target language. Even more interesting is that when I do a concordance search on the entire sentence, nothing comes up, but if I search only the first two words, the entire sentence comes up and I can see that it's identical between the TM and my document. My pre-translate percentage is set at 65%, so I can't see why a 100% match wouldn't be showing up. Would it have anything to do with how many TMs I'm using? I tried disabling a number of them but it didn't help. Is there a limit on how many you can use at one time? I'm a bit worried that I may be missing out on valuable matches (even 100% matches, like in this case) without realizing it. It only seems to be a problem with some segments though...I'm still getting lots of fuzzy matches and 100% matches elsewhere in the document.

  • I thought it might be useful to provide more details on what the problem is. I have the following sentence in my source file:

"Nous écoutons ses besoins et développons des relations de proximité pour offrir une expérience qui surpassera les attentes."

This entire sentence (as a separate segment, like in my source file) exists in the TM. However, If I do a concordance search on the entire sentence, it says "No matches found." If I do a search on half of the sentence, it still gives me no matches. Even if I do a concordance search on "relations de proximité," nothing. However, if I search "offrir une expérience" or "Nous écoutons," the full sentence comes up in the TM results window.

I'm hoping someone has some insight!
