Error in New Version (SR1 16.1.4.4184

Hello,

After I updated SDL Trados 2021 to the new version SR1 16.1.4.4184, the target language side mixes the translation memory somehow make it backward. The error  affects  both segments with tag or without tag.  Is there any way to restore previous version or it can be fixed?

Thanks,

Salah

  • Morning

I am so sorry to hear your upgrade has caused you such issues.

While I am struggling to fully appreciate the context of what you are trying to describe, I am aware of a some right to left changes made while in the editor view.
Details of which can be seen via the release notes: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0027380

    Questions:

What languages do you typically work with?
Is it an actual error your getting?
Or is it simply strange behaviour where you imply the "target language side mixes the translation memory somehow make it backward"? In which case a screen print if possible would be very helpful?

    Uninstall CU:

However, yes in the interim you can uninstall just the most recent update.
This can be done by following these steps:

    1. Go to Control Panel - Programs - Programs and Features
    2. On the left you will see: Installed Updates
    3. Locate the CU
    4. Top tool bare you will see: Uninstall

    Moving forward:

While going back to a previous version may resolve your current concern, it would only be a temporary solution.
Ideally you should benefit from the recent CU, so we need to get it installed and working again.

We can support you in this by better understanding your current circumstances starting with the questions listed above.

Looking forward to any ongoing clarity you can offer
