Hi there,
I have a batch of 14 pptx files and I am not allowed to share them.
This is a Studio 2017 installation. When trying to create a new project with a new TM and a new termbase I receive the error string above.
The only workaround I found is to convert the pptx into a ppt, which will probably result in a lot of additional work - or an upset client.
I tested the file types and a lot of other things.
This is a rush job, so any help is appreciated.

Hello Birgit,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your issue. Besides changing the file type definition to .ppt (Microsoft PowerPoint 1997-2003), I'm afraid I can't think of a different solution for your problem (assuming that you are using the latest version of Studio 2017).

I was looking through support cases and I found one that pretty much mirror what you described here.
I assume these 2 cases are the same?
