Find and Replace Wildcards Capitalize word/sentence

Hi all,

If you wish to capitalize a word/sentence with Find & Replace, is it possible to use wild cards? (to save typing)

Find: information system

Replace: Information System

Is there a way of saying, replace the Find text to capitals?

Query 2

Here is what I want to do:

Find: Within or within

Replace: In or in

How can I do this without running Find and Replace two times?

Many thanks.

Best wishes.

  • Thank you so much Paul.

What an excellent idea. I think that would be a great addition.

I think the search/replace case is OK as it is. (I think I got confused...and was thinking of two different issues as one.)

    If I have

within Within and want to change all within to Within. The case sensitive operator works.

within Within and want to change all to within. The case sensitive operator works. (I tested in Word...I am sure it is the same in Studio.)

Can't think of any other case sensitive issue right now.

Thank you so much. (I am ever so grateful to you about your Regular Expression articles. They are making my life easier even though I have to keep borrowing from your blog!)

    Best wishes.
