Is it possible to add a term as "forbidden" word?

Dear Studio 2014 users,

Is there a way to add a term as "forbidden" in Multiterm, and for which I would see it in a different color in the termbase window if the term appears in the active target segment?

I am working with a TM that contains out-dated terminologies the client no longer wishes to use.  If I could create a blacklist for those terms in Multiterm, I will be rest assured that none of them sneaks into the target segment.

Thank you so much for your suggestions.

  • Dear Paul!

I am fighting with the forbidden terms in the MDB....

It´s ok with assigning the Forbidden status to specific terms in Multiterm (following your excellent tutorial). Works perfectly with the Terminology checker properly set.

However, if not, the forbidden term appears in the Terminology window without any indication (highlighted in red or some comment). That means, that if a translator does not activate the Forbidden term notification option (or consult the entire entry), he/she will keep using this term, right?

Or maybe there is some trick to, for example, highlight the forbidden words?

    I prepared an example:

    Thanks in advance!
