System: Windows 10 (updates automatic), SDL Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - 16.1.4.4184, 16 GB RAM
I regularly get project packages from one client that can contain upwards of smallish 100 files for one manual. I can select all of these and open them in one editor window without problems in Studio 2019 - performs quite fast and smooth. I do this because of propagation of repetitions and the ability to search the entire project for certain terms via the filters in the Review section of the ribbon. Not
In 2021, this is not workable. I can open everything in one editor window, but going from one segment to the next (doesn't matter whether I commit a translation or just click on another segment) takes ages. Studio takes up to 30% CPU capacity for 20 seconds or more before the next segment is available for editing. I've already disabled Editor > Automation > After confirming segments manually > Enable verification of segment, and upLIFT Match repair in the project settings.
There may be other tweaks that could help 2021 to perform faster, but the main thing is that in 2019, with things like segment verification and match repair enabled, I don't have these problems. So until this is solved, I will have to stick with Studio 2019..
Any other suggestions before I log a ticket?
