Well... you can still translate the file and return the sdlxliff.  Presumably your colleagues can save the target?  What version of 2019 are they using?

Hello Paul, yes, I can translate and work on the xliff, but I need the target files (docx, pptx) as well, and that does not work.

Then you may be out of luck. I don't know what version of 2019 they are using but perhaps they should make sure they have the latest version to ensure compatibility?  I'm guessing a bit, but the problem does seem to be the specific filetype that was used in their version of 2019.

You're probably right with me being out of luck. I've asked my colleagues to check their "end of the chain", hoping we might come up with a solution, but haven't received an answer yet. The problem does not arise with my own xliff-files created in Studio 2017, nor with files from other collegues (though I don't know what Studio version they are using). Anyway, I find it extremely strange that Studio 2019 shouldn't be compatible with Studio 2021. By the way, there is no problem in using the same xliff-files in Studio 2017... I'm at a loss.
