It sounds as though the projects.xml didn't have time to update itself when you crashed.  But it should still be there in windows even if it's not showing in Studio anymore.  Have you tried navigating to the location of the project in windows?  If it's still there you should be able to open the project again by using Open Project in Studio and select the SDLPROJ file.

Hi Paul!  Thank you,  I went to the files on SDL that are on the computers and found a later file (same day) that I had worked on, but this giant one not. So I did a search on Windows C drive where it normally would have been, but nothing.  It is like a mouse came and ate up the cheese-type or if I would have completely deleted the file. 

I don't consider myself that stupid to do such a thing.  It is unexplainable to me.  I have reloaded the original SDL package and am pre-translating what I can and it works to a certain degree, and saves a little bit of time, but still have a lot of double work ahead of me.
