How do you add translator's notes in your target (translated) text? Footnotes?

Hello, 
 Using Studio 2017. Translating from Engllish to French. I need to add some explanations for the French reader. 
 
 Sometimes I just add my comments between brackets withe the NTD mention, no issue there. 
 Some other times I would like to make my translator's note a simple footnote.

I cannot seem to find any feature in Trados 2017 that can do that for me. I checked the help files and community chats but I didn't find the ansewer.

 No. You can only add comments in Studio and these may or may not appear in the target file... depends on the type of source file as not all filetypes will support commenting.
