You can change the name of them TM, just need to locate it where it is saved on your PC and would be able to change it similarly as with any file . You can also create a copy of it if needed. 

Then to add the newly renamed TM to any translation in Studio trados from the editor view please click on project settings - Translation memory and automatic translation - and then please click on Use and from there choose the first option and then add the TM from where it is saved on your PC.

I did. However, on TM under Editor, I do not see any segments to display (No Translation units to display). That's my problem.
