The files that you have received are also saved in Dropbox and accessed when creating the project from Dropbox? If so can you please try with 2-3 of them saved on your PC and to create a separate project with the files saved on your PC, just to check if the connection to dropbox somehow is causing this . 

Also there is article https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0039924 , it is more for issue when working with WS packages but please check the end of the article where it is described how to add Studio trados to the exception list on Norton as maybe this helps too .

Thank you so much for your reply. After all, I decided to just live with the error, because it seems that the files are still getting updated properly when I work on one PC and then continue at another PC (the files are located in Dropbox). I guess that Norton maybe had deleted the dependency file, but I do not know.
