Concordance search not satisfactory from Japanese to French

Hi everyone! Is anyone using Trados Studio to translate FROM Japanese (into any language)? 
 I've started using Trados Studio 2021 recently (Japanese to French) and it doesn't seem to pick up the structure of the language well. 
 There's no problem when I translate from English (to French) but when it's Japanese, it doesn't suggest any matches unless it's the very exact same sentence (100% match). It gives me the impression that the software doesn't recognize at all where each word begins/ends, the sentence structure etc. (if that makes sense) 
 "Enable character-based concordance search" is checked and Minimum Match value is at 70%. 
 What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've never had trouble with Japanese. However, I don't really understand your question because concordance searching (F3), which the user does manually, is different from suggesting matches, which the software does automatically. Which feature is giving you trouble?
