Unexpected opening of the "publish project" wizard

We face a very strange behaviour in Studio 2021 CU4.

Every time we click on "Check for Updates" or try to do an analysis, Studio opens the "Project Publishing Wizard" and blinks like hell, so that we need to kill Studio.

I did a full "reset" of Studio and even a repair, to no avail.

As I suspected that the culprit was a cloud project in the list of projects, I removed this project, but that did not help.

Then I deleted the projects.xml  and the folder of that cloud project. Studio is left only with the sample project, everything else has been removed but the problem still occurs.

I really don't know what to do in order to resolve this situation.

There must be some kind of information somewwhere that incites Studio to connect to the cloud, but this happens even after I logged off the customer account (and LC, on the top right)..

Any hint what I should try?

    Let me now answer myself because this may be helpful for other users should they face this problem one day.

    After several uninstalls, registry cleaning and reinstalls that unfortunately did not lead to success, we had a remote session with SDL support and found out that is was related to keyboard shortcuts. But we still could not solve the problem.

    Suspecting that it could be caused by another piece of installed software, I then checked through installed SW and finally found the culprit.

    The problem was caused by an old version of Citrix Workspace. Updating Citrix Workspace to the latest version immediately solved the problem.

    So - if you use Citrix Workspace - make sure you regularly update it.
