I would like to know what is the difference between SDLXLIFF and XLIFF?
What are are the very changes that were produced to make an SDLXLIFF out of an XLIFF?
Is the SDLXLIFF simply the XLIFF redesigned for use in Trados?
Is it possible to use an XLIFF (not an SDLXLIFF) in Trados?
Is it possible to use an SDLXLIFF in some other programms besides Trados?

They are both XLIFF 1.2. SDLXLIFF makes use of custom extensions that are allowed under this specification. In the same way as mqxliff, mxliff, txlf etc. do similar things. All XLIFF, but XLIFF is usually the extension given to a more vanilla flavour that follows the specification and doesn't use any custom extensions.

Yes, sort of. Not redesigned, but specifically enhanced using techniques allowable under the XLIFF specification to take advantage of features supported in Studio but not supported in a vanilla XLIFF implementation. You may find this article interesting:

Is it possible to use an XLIFF (not an SDLXLIFF) in Trados?
Yes, of course. 1.2 and 2.0.
Is it possible to use an SDLXLIFF in some other programms besides Trados?
Yes. Essentially the program using it will preserve the custom extensions and anything else they don't have features to use, and just work with the translatable text and anything they do support. Most mainstream CAT tools offer support to some degree of SDLXLIFF.
