Preview original files when source format is in ITD format

Hi,

We are using Studio to translate ITD files. The original format before the ITD file is an xml file with length restrictions.

I need to create a preview of this xml file to see if my translation fits in the length limit.

However, Studio does not allow me to preview ITD files. I have to use Save Target As option to create and preview the xml file.

Is there a way to create a specific Batch Task that will generate Target Files in the original file format instead of ITD files?

    The only way to do this would be via the API I think.  Your can use the Export files or Generate Target Translations batch tasks but as you have probably noticed this will only get you the ITDs.  You can only recover the XML when you use the Save Target As option and if you have hundreds of these files it would be a bit of a nuisance.

    If the length restrictions are the same throughout you could use the option in the QA Checker here:
