I want to try SDL Subtitling
I have an mp4 video in english.
I need to do the transcription in English first, then I translated it into French.
After translation I have the French subtitle in a Word document.
Now I want to turn them in srt. file. to import it along with the video into SDL Subtitling.
Then my question are:
How can I get to an srt. file format (I have the subtitle in Word docx format)?
Am I support to do a conversion ? Does any one know a way to convert it?

To use the Studio subtitling application you will need both the media file (mp4 in this case) and the subtitling file (.srt).
To convert docx to .srt, you will need a different tool as Trados Studio Subtitling is not designed for conversion purposes.
It may not be possible to convert the file automatically as it depends on how it was written. You may need to do a manual conversion, using a tool such as Subtitle Edit
Perhaps if you could share a sample of what text is in the .docx, maybe we can recognise it and provide some advice on how to do this.
