Search function does not work after last update

Question

Hello, 
 after the last update to SDL Trados Studio 2021 SR1 - 16.1.5.4270, the search function is not working anymore. After pressing ctrl+F or clicking on the search button, there appears a blank search window and I cannot click on it:

Does anyone has an idea how to fix this problem? I am desperate without the search funcion!

 I have tried to replicate this and iyt appears to be working 
 
 Perhaps you can try the following- Reset WIndow Layout 
 
 If this doesn't resolve the problem- 
 Try a Trados Studio repair/reset 
 gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge

Trados Studio > 1. Trados Studio
