I have a recognition issue in Studio 2017. I do have admin rights and I did install the SQL Server ExpressLocal DB as instructed. I explored a few other suggestions I found on this platform and on proz.com with no avail. I wonder whether there is anything else I should do to make it work. I also wonder whether it actually works for anyone with Studio 2017... I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

We have done a lot of work with the IATE plugin recently and are only able to maintain and support the versions for 2019 and 2021.
This recent thread explains why there have been a number of issues in the past.
Perhaps its worth considering an upgrade to Trados Studio 2021 as we can generally only support/update apps for supported Trados Studio versions.

I finally did upgrade my studio to Trados Studio 2021 but I am sorry to inform you that the plugin must be a highly whimsical creature and could not be relied on to recognise terms in IATE at the moment. I did try all the suggested settings. I am aware of the fact that it must be a huge job to make it work perfectly though but I hope it will improve as time goes on. Good luck and thank you.
