I'm the head of plugin development at ModernMT.

Could you please check if you're using the latest version of the plugin? In our latest update we fixed a pre-translate issue which could be the cause of the inconvenience.
You can see the current version in the bottom left corner of the plugin settings window. The latest version for Studio 2019 is currently 19.1.7.4.

If the version number is lower (or if it reports all zeros), please install the latest version which is available at the following link: https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/modernmt/1008/

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if the issue persists with the latest version.

I have dowloaded the plugin 19.1.7.4 and intalled it but unfortunately it did not solve the issue.

I have downloaded this plugin and installed it without erasing the old one.

Don't know if this may have affected the result.

What do you suggest?

In order to further investigate this, may you send me the log files present in the following folder? Of course, complete the path with your windows username.

• C:\Users\YOUR_USER_HERE\AppData\Roaming\ModernMT\sdl-trados-studio-15\Logs

well no, I am still trying to understand what is the issue and it really seem the issue is PRETRANSLATE FROM MODERNMT. Today I pretranslated with success a file using a personal local TM while I do not manage to pretranslate from modernmt. 

As you said I was able to get a text pretranslated by a colleague who uses MODERNMT.

But if it works for her it should work for me as well. I pay a service and should be able to get it.

My pc is quite new and powerful.

And consider that at the beginning I was able to pretranslate from modermt a few times.

So there must be some issue somewhere.

No I still experience the issue on my pc, I cannot pretranslate from Modernmt.

Anyway if there is nothing else I or you can do to solve the problem in order to TRY to find a solution I will install STUDIO 2021 that I purchased months ago (but have not installed yet) with the help of a colleague who is a great expert. Let's just hope that pretranslate from modern will work.

If does not we have to cooperate to solve the issue since this has become a very useful instrument for me allowing me to process more volumes and I pay 25 euros a month.

On thursday I should be able to install everythingand see whether with 2021 it works.

I will keep you posted.

Could you try to run a pre-translate task with other TMs disabled ?

Hello davide, that was the first thing I did. Still it did not work. I have now installed STUDIO 2021 and here, pretranslate works in all cases (only local tms, local tms + modernmt + modernmt only) so it was an issue with 2019. Luckily I had already bought 2021.
