Hi there,
I'm trying to align two pdf files. When I get to the stage in the screen shot, I press NEXT and it asks me to confirm the language combination, which I do. But then when I press FINISH, Trados shuts down. I've tried it three times, but get the same result every time. Has anyone else had this issue? Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Why don't you convert the PDF files upfront? This ist always much better than letting ANY tool do that automatically, as the result is then very poor. Better convert the files manually, tidy them up, remove unnecessary formatting and only then align them. If the files are big, splitting them in smaller chunks is also very helpful.

Hi Jerzy, this is for a course I'm taking. The point of the exercise is to see how Studio handles files in various formats. That said, I will take your advice the next I'm trying to align PDF files. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my query.
