I can't create a project because "the file at location... does not exist"

Question

Obviously the file 
 - exists and I can open it very well in Word 
 - isn't locked by another software 
 - does not have bizarre characters in its name. 
 If I try to translate as a single file all works fine (because the file exists!) 
 What can I do? 
 (Windows 10, Studio 2021 SR1)

 Sometimes, if it's a temporary issue, a PC restart may help...
