Where is Save As?

Dear colleagues,

There are Save and Save Target As under File in a Studio project.  I actually want to use the Save As function so that I can give the updated files a different name and save them in a different location.  Is this possible?  Again, this is a Studio project that contains several files.  I only need to send the client the files that had changes/updates.

Thank you.

  • Hi Chun-yi,

I guess the most important point here is that Studio doesn't work with a closed database.  So you can get at these anytime you like in Windows Explorer by going to your Project Folder and just take a copy to send your client.

But if you really want to do this from Studio go to File -> Advanced Save and you'll find a few additional save options in there, inclding the one you want.

  • I didn't see Advanced Save until you pointed it out. That's the feature I was looking for. In Studio 2011, different save options are listed under File, whereas in Studio 2014, the less used save option is put in Advanced Save. I guess this makes sense, since I have been using Studio 2014 for almost two years and I looked for this option today:)
