Were you trying to create a return package? I mean: the client sent you a package, you open and translated it in Trados Studio, and needed to create a return package to be delivered to the client. If this is the issue, then there is a problem.

On the other hand, with the Freelance version you can't create project packages. This task can only be done with the Professional version.

Thanks for your answer. I wanted to create a project as I've always done for 8 years with the freelance license. Eg. I have a French file I want to translate into Dutch for one of my clients. So I use the "New project" feature to convert my Word file into xliff to have it translated in Studio. For 2 months, I could do this in any languages (as indicated in the new features with 2021), and suddenly last week, I received a message, I could only work in 3 languages...

I wonder if this is because you have multiple target languages in your default project template?  The language restriction has been lifted in the 2021 FL, but there is still a restriction.  You can only have up to three different target languages in your project when you create a project.

Try going to here and remove any language pairs you don't need.  Or, just create a new project template that only contains the languages you want:

You can see I have five target languages for an en-US source, so with the Freelance version this would cause a problem when creating the project.  Simple workaround though... just use project templates.

Thanks. This is it, I had too many target languages in the default template. So can I create templates with extra target languages then?

If you want to be able to create a project, or a project template, with more than three target languages then you need to either create multiple projects, or purchase the Professional version of Studio.

You can however create as many project templates as you like, for as many combinations of three target languages across every language supported in Trados Studio as you like.
