I am importing a .tmx file.
28K TUs, many duplicates - maybe 5K TUs are duplicates.
The problem is it does not leave even 1 TU of the duplicate segment.
For instance, if i have 20 TUs with this content:
Source: Гидрогафия.
Target: Hydrography.
Trados deletes ALL 20 duplicate segments - it does not leave even 1 segment that says
Source: Гидрогафия
Target: Hydrography.
Alternatively, Studio does not allow me to import duplicate segments - it automatically deletes everything.
Help!
I seem to have found a workaround.
I was using a MemoQ TMX. When I import into Deja Vu, and then export as a Deja Vu .tmx, then I get my 1 TU. "Гидрография."
But still - any idea why MemoQ TMX files do not save 1 dup TU when importing?
No idea... why don't you share two TMX files, one from memoQ and one from DVX, both with the same content and both only containing a few segments to illustrate the point.

Sure - do I just "insert"? Will this make the .tmx files public, or only available to you at Trados?
They'll be public. So feel free to email to me if they should not be public. Although I was hoping you were going to edit the TMX s we have a small sample and then presumably it would be ok to share publicly anyway?
