File froze and now error message

Question

I am in the middle of a large translation and my file froze. I had to restart the computer and now I am receiving an error message can't reopen my file. I am working with SDL Trados Studio 2019 and the error message in German is: Bei der Erkennung des Dateityps f&uuml;r die Datei C/.... ist ein unerwarteter Fehler aufgetreten: '.' hexidezimaler Wert 0x00 ist ein ung&uuml;ltiges Zeichen, Zeile 1, Position 1 
 I urgently need to access my file again and have no clue how to treat this error. Thanks for your support and ideas!

 This is i think normally associated with invalid characters within the file and or project. 
 You can possibly fix this with the following workaround
