“Object reference not set to an instance of an object” when analyzing files

Question

After the most recent update to SDLTradosStudio2021SR1_16.1.6.4276.

We are seeing many “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” when analyzing files. I studied java programming and that’s just a generic error that an end user should never see. A programmer is supposed to catch those errors and route them to descriptive error messages. Instead I see this error all of the time in very different circumstances.
