Since this morning, after months of faithful service, my full licence Studio 2021 SR 1 16.1.1.4184 suddenly closes when I attempt to a)create a new local project, or b) translate a single file.
I can still open existing projects without any problems. It seems to be these two tasks specifically which cause the crash.
I am using an updated version of Windows 10
Do you have any recent updated done on your antivirus?
It might be worth checking if you have trados studio added to your exception list on your antivirus and maybe worth doing a repair or reset of Trados studio

I also tried the repair. I added Studio to the exception list of my antivirus. I updated Windows 10 to the minute, I repaired Trados, I uninstalled Trados and reinstalled it. I checked the 4.8Network issue. This is really impacting my productivity - what else can I do?
Are there no patches available for this version?

You are running CU4 currently- the latest update is CU8.
Could you please go to Studio- Help- Check for updates and install the latest version please.
