Spaces/no spaces inside quotation marks

Question

Hi folks,
Does anybody know how to control non-breaking spaces appended inside a pair of quotation marks?
I have two projects with different behavior. In one of them, when I press Ctrl+Shift+6, it inserts «°°», in the other, pressing Ctrl+Shift+6 inserts «». And the same happens when I press Ctrl+Shift+6 on a selected word: «°word°» and «word» accordingly. I can't figure out how I did it... I don't use custom quick insert elements or AHK scripts for that. I just somehow set it in Trados. Any idea how?

Project settings -> Language pairs -> Proper language pair -> Translation memories... -> Auto substitution -> Measurements could be one option. Other option is to check TM settings.

Hi Stepan, 
 Do the projects have different target languages, by any chance? It may be that, for instance, if one is Spanish and one is French, the different behaviors are coming from the target language rules.

Ah, you are close Nora... I started to compare projects and files after your suggestion, and it seems to depend on file types in use. I have a dedicated project for XLF files only. I never added any other files, and Trados inserts &laquo;&raquo; there. But when I added an MS Word DOCX file to the same project, Trados inserted &laquo;&deg;&deg;&raquo;. Ok, now I see why I can't recall how I did it. (Because I didn't actually do anything. It's by design.) Thank you Nora and Jerzy for your suggestions.
