When analyzing files we get a different amount of context matches than our client does. We use the same TM, .sdlsettings file and they have also shared their project template file with us.
Why is our client getting approx. 30K of context matches, when we're only seeing about 23K.

It's difficult to say, but the first thing I would do is compare the version of Trados being used.
Trados SP2 made a lot of big changes which could be part of the problem:

The note from Jesse seems likely. You can find an article here that explains the main differences since 2014 SP2 and how counts can be affected.

Yes, that's probably the case here... the client is using 2011 SP2 and I'm on 2014 SP2. Thanks for your responses and the links!
