You didn't need to take the steps you have taken so far.  You just need to change your profile:

File -> Setup -> Manage User Profiles

When you work through the wizard you'll get to these pages:

Thank you for the response; however, there is still one more step with Back Up User Setting and there are two options:

Back up my existing setting to the following location which is C Drive.

Do not back up, overwrite my current setting.

I tried first option, access was denied; I am not sure about second one.

I wasn't giving you a step by step... it's fairly simple ;-)

Sounds as though this is a problem for you to resolve I think.  Given you want to change this anyway why not just go with the second option?
