Studio asks me to remove one language pair, since I am allowed to 3 target languages only (???)

Hi,

Today, I tried to create a project in Studio, and, I got an error message (see image below) stating that I can work only with up to 3 target languages
Thing is that I only translate from EN into Spanish. Into diff flavors, but not into diff languages.

And as far as I know, diff flavors don't count like different languages, right?
Not to mention that Studio always allowed me 5 language pairs.

Anyway, I tried tio remove one "language pair", but I can't find any Remove/Delete option anywhere.

BTW, I use the Freelance 2021 version.

Please advise.

Regards,

Ramon

Error message in Trados Studio stating 'Cannot apply default project template. Your version of Trados Studio enables you to create new projects in up to three target languages. Go to your Project Template Settings and remove extra target languages from the default project template.' with an OK button.

  • Hi  ,  , ,

A colleague of mine who works with Studio 2022 Freelance SR2 fully updated got the same error message. I first had a look at the Default template that she uses, but there were no language pairs listed at all, we had already deleted them a week ago.

We then tried a reset of Trados, to no avail.

Then, she told me that her Trados version is a subscription. I suggested logging in, and suddenly, it was possible to create new projects again.

So for anyone with the same issue: It seems that logging in is required to benefit from the full functionality of the subscription version.

Question to RWS Support: How long can you work without logging in? I think I read somewhere about that but cannot find this information.

    Thanks!

    Best regards
