I currently have the free trial of SDL TRADOS Studio 2021 and am planning on purchasing the full version provided I can make sure this program meets my needs.

I am translating a PDF with many images and specific formatting needs. I have finalized my translation, selected "Save Target as...". When I open the file from Quick Access in file explorer, I get the error message (from Word) "Sorry, we couldn't find your file. Was it moved, renamed, or deleted?"

When I open the target file from the file location in file explorer I get the message "We're sorry. We can't open [my file name] because we found a problem with its contents." Under details it says "Xml parsing error".

I have Word 2016 on my computer. 

What can I do to solve this problem?
